Evian Masters Junior Cup 2009 - Czech

The original Czechoslovak Golf Association was founded in 1931. CSGA was one of the founder members of the European Golf Association (EGA) in 1937. Since 1969 the Czechoslovak Golf Association has joined the International Golf Federation (IGF), formerly World Amateur Golf Council (WAGC), as full member. After separation of the Czechoslovak Republic to two independent countries in 1993 the Czechoslovak Golf Association was divided to the contemporary Czech Golf Federation and Slovak Golf Union.
The CGF joins 147 clubs and since May 2010 the Czech Golf Federation exceeds 50.000 members and 82 golf courses. Last year was filled with wonderful golf events in our country. The results of our young players were very good, especially those of Klara Spilkova on the European Young Masters in France. Her results and the results of the whole team are considered to be the best in the history of Czech golf. Professional golf with stars like Miguel Angel Jimenez or Alex Cejka made its way back after many years and Celadna has become a place of pilgrimage for European golf.
