Since 1994, the Evian Masters has always positioned itself among the mainspring tournaments on first the european, then the american circuit, pulling out all the stops to rise ever higher in the world hierarchy and go right to the top.
1994 - 1 000 000 FF (aproximately 150 000 euros)
At its creation, the Evian Masters immediately offered the 2nd biggest prize on the European women’s circuit. Its creed: every extra dollar goes to the players, and serves to constantly increase the prize money.
2000 - 1 975 000 $
A real step forward came when the tournament became a part of the American circuit and raised its prize to one million pounds.
2007 - 3 000 000 $
With a prize of $3 million, the Evian Masters has asserted itself as the second biggest tournament in the world.
2008 - 3 250 000 $
With a 3.250.000 dollars prize money this year, the Evian Masters are joining the US Women’s Open, at the first place of the podium on the LPGA Tour.
2009: 3 250 000 $
In 2010 with a 3 250 00 $ prize money Evian Masters consolidate its first place on the LPGA Tour podium. With the US Open, it’s today the tournament which offers the most important prize money in the world.
