The unmissable curtain-raiser to the great Evian Masters week, the Evian Masters Juniors Cup once again lived up to all expectations providing great golf, talent, enthusiasm, fair play, exchanges and conviviality.
15 teams each made up of 2 girls and 2 boys were present for this veritable world cup competition for under 14’s. 10 European nations competed in the event including the United States, Japan, China, India and Mexico, as well as first-timers Wales and the Czech Republic.
« The Evian Masters Juniors Cup is part of the Evian Masters’ DNA » explains Jacques Bungert, Director of the Evian Masters. « It is the future of women’s golf and golf in general. We instill it with all our values, our vision of the future and our determination to develop golf internationally ».

Kenny Subregis, already victorious last year in the Boys rankings, set the pace with 68 (-4), the best score of the tournament, to give France an impressive 8-shot lead over Japan. In the 2nd round, Kenny kept up the pressure with a 69, aided by his team mates Shannon Aubert, Emma Broze and Thomas Le Berre to claim victory.
Following Japan, Spain and Denmark, France sees its name on the Evian Masters Juniors Cup thanks to its score of 431, 11 shots ahead of the United States. For the Girls, India’s Gurbani Singh gave the best performance finishing her 2 rounds on 143 (69+74, -1). As for Kenny Subregis, he took the top position in the Boys rankings on 137 (68+69, -7).
